On November 7, 2019, the talent work leading group of Chongqing municipal Party committee announced the list of the first batch of selected talents (teams) of Chongqing Talent Plan. The "digital design innovation technology R & D and service team" led by Dr. Tang Yunlong of Chongqing Gonggang Zhihui Additive Manufacturing Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Research Institute") was awarded the "Chongqing Talents Innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration group" Team.

The "digital design innovation technology research and development and service team" was established in July 2018, mainly carrying out innovative R & D and application in the field of advanced digital design and manufacturing. At present, the team has carried out innovative research and development in the design and manufacturing of new digital customized dental implants, intelligent design and manufacturing of high-performance molds, and lightweight design of multi-scale parts for additive manufacturing. Among them, the dental digital design software developed by the team has entered the stage of clinical trial. More than 80 case designs have been successfully completed in Chongqing stomatological hospital. The design module of dental abutment has been reduced from 2 hours to 5 minutes. The design quality meets the needs of clinical use and improves the design efficiency of oral medical devices.

"Digital design innovation technology R & D and service team" was selected into the first batch of "Chongqing Talents Innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration team", which is not only an honor but also a spur for the Research Institute. Next, the Research Institute will focus on improving the research and development capacity of digital design innovation technology on the existing basis, strengthen the construction of talent team, and provide effective talent support for various projects. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen the construction of digital design innovation technology service capacity, and cooperate with China Shipbuilding Industry (Chongqing) southwest Equipment Research Institute, Chang'an Automobile global R & D center, Chongqing stomatological hospital and other units to accelerate the popularization and application of technological research and development achievements, so as to build Chongqing into a "smart manufacturing town" and a "smart city".
