Porous acetabular socket |
After years of artificial joint replacement, the prosthesis is loose due to severe bone resorption around the prosthesis, so it is necessary to remove the old prosthesis and repair the acetabular socket. For cases of large amounts of irregular bone resorption around the acetabular socket, the traditional treatment may be to implant a larger acetabular cup to fill the defect, but it does not match the defect. With the help of digital design and 3D printing, the acetabular implant with perfect matching defect can be designed and optimized by finite element analysis. In addition, the implant is designed with a bionic trabecular porous structure, which is conducive to the growth of surrounding bone tissues to ensure the stability of the implant.
