Chongqing Gonggang Zhihui advanced additive and intelligent manufacturing international cutting edge technology Academic Salon (phase II) was successfully held

On the morning of June 19, 2019, the Academic Salon of advanced additive and intelligent manufacturing international cutting edge technology (phase II) of Chongqing Gonggang Zhihui was successfully held in the "3D Zhihui" of Nan'an District. Two young scholars from McGill University of Canada and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics were invited to attend the salon,The sharing attracted more than 30 representatives from enterprises such as China Automotive Research Institute, Xiaokang group, Yazaki instrument and capo robot, as well as teachers and students of Chongqing University, Chongqing University of technology and Chongqing Medical University.

  

 

Focusing on the theme of "structural design optimization of additive manufacturing in the process of product design and development", the salon focuses on three sub topics. Firstly, Dr. Li Dawei, CO trained by McGill University of Canada and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, brings "Research on lightweight optimization design technology of additive manufacturing" and "industrial application and technical solutions of the combination of additive manufacturing and structural optimization" ”Theme sharing.

 

Dr. Li's sharing started with an overview of advanced additive design and manufacturing, and made a detailed and rigorous theoretical analysis on the advanced design technology of additive driven by simulation and the design criteria and specifications of additive manufacturing, and expanded to the practical application level. The specific application of relevant technologies in the design of injection mold, heat exchanger and radiator, medical lightweight prosthesis and retention device was discussed, It is pointed out that using additive manufacturing and related design optimization technology can effectively achieve the goals of structural weight reduction, assembly optimization, thermal control and flow field optimization.


 

 Subsequently, Dr. Zhou Lei, School of mechanical and electrical engineering of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, shared the theme of "additive manufacturing simulation technology", focusing on the issues related to particle contact mechanics, bath dynamics, solidification behavior (grain growth), crystal mechanics, thermal stress and deformation analysis, and proposed a multi-scale macro and micro integrated modeling and simulation analysis scheme Rigorous explanation and vivid and detailed cases benefit the audience.

 

In the free exchange link after the theme sharing, the on-site university student representatives and enterprise representatives discussed with the sharing guests based on their practical problems in study and work, and the salon ended in a lively and relaxed atmosphere.
